Bloquee par les forces de l'ordre, la manifestation qui devait initialement se derouler entre la Place de la Republique et l'Opera n'a jamais pu partir de son point de depart. Des militants du groupe d'extreme droite Generation Identitaire ont deploye une banderole pour denoncer ce qu'ils appellent le "racisme anti blanc" sur la facade d'un immeuble de la place. Elle a ete rapidement mise en piece par des voisins. Blocked by the police, the demonstration which was originally to take place between the Place de la Republique and the Opera was never able to leave from its starting point. Activists of the far-right group Generation Identitaire have displayed a banner to denounce what they call "anti-white racism" on the facade of a building. It was quickly torn apart by neighbors.
